Welcome to About Us! Who are we? We're veterans tested under fire and mission-ready to serve. We're "Shift 4" professional fire fighters, law enforcement, emergency government, or homeland security professionals are overwhelmed by the scope or exhausted by the duration of a terrorist attack, natural disaster, pandemic, or life threatening crisis in Door County. We are NOT a substitute for these trained professional. Rather, we're their reinforcements ready to stand guard at shelters, direct traffic during mass evacuations, search for missing children, or organize clean-up and recovery details after a natural disaster. We deploy under the same Incident Command System that required of US fire, law enforcement, emergency government and homeland security personell. Door County Veterans Through this site your Post can take Basic and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) in Incident Command and Control, survey Post' response and recovery assets, and deploy troops when and if call up by an Incident Commander. This site represents "Shift 4" during a natural disaster, terrorist attack, or pandemic in Door County. Shift 4 will stand "mission-ready" to aid and support professional first responders (fire fighters, law enforcement, EMTs, Red Cross, and emergency government personnel) when called on to serve. To my friends and mentors: September 2005 marked my 42nd year of pounding the podium to motivate and spread Risk Management (RM) wisdom around the world. I've been richly blessed with a career that's taken me to most cities in the US and countries in the free world. I've been blessed to have worked with so many good friends and professional RM mentors. Now, thanks to the internet, we're able to keep in touch, reach out, and prepare a world that's threatened by natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and an increasingly violent society. It's my sincere hope that this site will provide you with skills you'll need to manage new risks, face new challenges, accept new responsibilities, and move out with courage to prepare, protect, and defend your homeland.
